About me

Welcome! My name is Chris, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I completed my Masters of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas in 2015. I am also a graduate of Texas A&M University, Class of 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology.

I enjoy working with adults who are ready to go within themselves to do their healing work. With a background based in both clinical assessment and energetic healing, I utilize an array of traditional and unorthodox tools to assist individuals with discovering and integrating the highest expressions of themselves. I use a person-centered, holistic, and integrative approach in counseling. This means I begin where you are and tailor the treatment approach to your needs while being sensitive to how your individual cultural identities and lifestyle choices impact your experience.

I have the most experience working with clients dealing with concerns around identity, self worth, spirituality, and acceptance of self. It is my experience that the best results come when a therapist and client work as a team, focusing on specific goals. It is the therapeutic alliance that yields healing and movement towards accomplishing goals.

I believe that every individual has the ability to find healing within, and I strive to empower my clients to explore all of who they are while I hold a space of compassion and non-judgment. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life, and I am here to support and empower you. Thank you for reaching out!

Chris is a counselor that truly cares. He aims to truly understand, first, your concerns, and then your background in order to accomplish the goals you set together based on the concerns you are having. I’ve never finished a session without feeling a little more whole than when we started.

I honestly didn't think I'd find a counselor who valued human interaction when communicating, but I found Chris pretty fast after making the decision to have a counselor who is also Black and LGBT such as myself. Best decision I made by going with my gut. I've been enjoying his service ever since. I would definitely recommend him to other people regardless of race but Black representation is still of most importance to me.
