Christina Crain

About Me

Hello, my name is Christina Crain and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Missouri and a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida. I also am a nationally certified counselor and a certified clinical mental health counselor through the national board of counselors. I have worked with clients all over the world and really enjoy the platform of using virtual counseling.

Through my experience in counseling, I have worked for over 11 years with clients facing difficult times in their life. Many of my clients have struggles with depression, anxiety, relationships, parenting difficulties, trauma, eating disorders, OCD, self-harm, ADHD, or simply transitions in their life. It does not matter if you are an Individual, couple, or family; no matter what you are going through, being alone is not something to add on top of your circumstances.

My counseling approach sees people without judgement. In a world where everyone has an opinion my hope is to be someone to hear you and understand you. I never want my clients to feel alone when life is difficult. I believe everyone has relational needs to be met and that there is always hope no matter what the circumstance or what your past.

Some of the most courageous people I know I have met in the counseling room ready to talk about their story. I look forward to connecting with you so that we can develop a specific plan for you and your story.

I have attempted therapy many times before without success but when I started talking to Christina I immediately felt comfortable and finally felt as though therapy was working for me. She is extremely giving and professional and does her best to make sure therapy is working even outside of sessions. I cannot express how much she has helped me and I appreciated every single minute I spoke with her and hope to continue to improve.

Christina’s help and expertise were far beyond anything I expected. I was always appreciative of her attention to the details and understanding of thoughts and feelings I expressed. Most of all I was impressed by her insightful ability to incorporate practical applications of some of my personal world views and spiritual practices into my process in ways I had never considered and that I am able to continue to use for years to come.

Making the decision to do online counseling was a challenging decision for me to make. It was hard to admit that I needed help and find the courage to pursue that. I've had no experience with counseling before, but signing up with BetterHelp was quick and easy. When I was matched with my counselor, she immediately struck me as highly qualified to be my counselor after reading her biography. My only hope was that my online experience with her would live up to those credentials.

Sure enough, it did. It's hard for me to state how wonderful Christina in helping process the feelings, emotions, and beliefs running through my mind. Scheduling sessions and her promptness for meetings were always on point. Her quick and immediate feedback made the scheduling process easy. In the first three sessions, she presented me with methods to help me reflect and analyze my emotions in order to better process them. One of the best things about Christina is that she allows her clients to form very important and enriching conclusions on their own. Christina allows her clients to autonomy to process by providing the tools necessary to do so in a healthy way. Christina empowers her clients and if I ever needed counseling again, I would insist on having her again.
