My name is Christasia Coleman and I have enjoyed the work of helping people through the challenges that life brings, for 10+ years. In 2000, I graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science [degree] in Psychology. Approximately 8 months later, I began pursuing a Master's [degree] in Rehabilitation Counseling, which I accomplished in 2003. In time, I eventually obtained my licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Since becoming a counselor, I have worked in a number of settings including outpatient agencies, adult day treatment facilities, school based therapy, and such. My latest venture has been starting my own private practice in 2017. I have found helping individuals to better understand how the interaction of their thoughts & feelings motivate their responses/actions is beneficial to fostering better self awareness and increased self modification [of thoughts-feelings-behaviors]. I am experienced in working with individuals who have experienced the symptoms of depression, anxiety, some interpersonal challenges in relationships & grief/loss/bereavement, to name a few. Additionally, helping individual's to understand their own sense of purpose is important to their healing process. I encourage you be open to what you are looking for in treatment. Though choosing a counselor is not always an easy process, finding the right person can be rewarding. I hope to hear from you!

Christasia is a wonderful counselor. She is detail-oriented, consistent and has a keen ability to narrow in on current challenges. She is easy to talk to and I look forward to our weekly sessions.
Chris has been very helpful in helping me with my issues. After only 3 weeks I feel so much better and she really has some great advice and has really helped me work through anything I am facing. I would highly recommend her she is a great counselor.
She has put me at ease in only a few session to feel comfortable about the process and about getting help that I need. I'm very excited about the future and becoming my best self.
Christasia has been a wonderful counselor so far. I feel like she cares about me and finding ways to help me work through the experiences I’ve had which contribute to my negative emotions. She’s been a good listener and a thoughtful speaker. The only reason I did not give her a 10/10 is that I think two sessions is insufficient to make that sort of evaluation.
