About Me

Are you struggling to keep a good balance between your work and your home life? Do you feel drained (emotionally, mentally, physically) at the end of each day? Do you find yourself being short, irritated, or angry with those you love? Do you pour so much of your heart and soul into helping others that you have nothing left for yourself?

Perhaps you are feeling lonely, unlovable, hopeless. Like there is no light at the end of the tunnel...or if there is, it must be a train. Do you feel like you might as well just stay in bed, or can you just not make yourself get out of bed some days?

Do you find yourself constantly worrying about things? Feeling tense, keyed up, always expecting the worst to happen? Maybe the worrying has affected your work, social, or family life. Perhaps you frequently see the worst possible scenario first. Maybe you have difficulty being around others because you feel like they are looking at you, judging you. Do you feel nervous, exposed, or panicked when you are around a lot of people?

I am here to help - don't wait any longer, and don't let your past hold you back from who you can become!

I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Go, Cru!) in August of 2001 with a double major in Psychology and Christian Studies. A few years later, I earned my Early Childhood - 4th grade teaching certification through LeTourneau University's alternative teacher certification program. From 2007 until 2017, I was a Navy wife, and we lived in North Carolina and Virginia. In 2012, I was finally able to begin the process of fulfilling my dream of earning my masters and eventually becoming a licensed professional counselor (LPC) through Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. We moved back home to Texas this past spring, and I have a heart for helping the hurting people of Central Texas and beyond.

My therapeutic approach centers about Brief Solution Focused, Family Systems, TF-CBT, CBT, and the use of some DBT techniques, as well. We will work together to determine the best approach for you, your struggles, and this point in your life. We all change and grow, and our therapeutic needs do so, as well!

Christi has been amazing at helping me to deal with my issues. I really feel that she cares for me and my family and wants to help. I appreciate the way she communicates with me and I feel that she respects me and my opinion. I would definitely recommend her to others.
