About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Doctor of Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership. In addition, I am also a life coach and a management coach and am trained in personality assessment. I have been a therapist for over 12 years and have helped numerous adults and children overcome trauma, reduce anxiety, improve their mood, reach their life goals, recover from abuse and domestic violence, make career changes and rise above challenging life circumstances. My past work has been in medical, university, school, public, and private practice settings as well as teaching and self help writing. I have lived in other countries, traveled extensively, and speak French and a little Spanish.

I help people grow so they can reach their goals! In our work together you will clarify your personal goals and strengths, and add tools to your mental/emotional toolbox so you can achieve transformational change and make your dreams come true in an efficient and supportive manner. I will teach you to challenge and overcome limiting thoughts. I am holistic in practice. This means that I will help you reach your personal goals while achieving balance in mind, body, and spirit. I am also very sensitive to your cultural and spiritual needs. All are welcome!

I am passionate about finding exceptions to the rule and helping people move forward in spite of challenging circumstances! I use a variety of therapy approaches, am trauma informed, and you will find me responsive, warm, engaging, and thoughtful. I have seen amazing changes happen with my clients and I look forward to sharing your healing journey with you!

Christie has helped me immensely in a short time. She is a very engaged listener, and gives practical and actionable advice. She also knows when to inject humor to help make you comfortable even when describing heavier subject matter. I highly recommend her!
