About me

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and am a huge Steelers fan. I knew early on that my passion lied in a career that was dedicated to helping others and returned to graduate school after working as a headhunter and Human Resources Manager. I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology and am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. My experience includes working with adolescents and adults who suffer from substance use issues, family conflict, couples counseling, personal growth and development, and career counseling. I have worked with families and children as young as two-years-old into adolescence. My most recent experience was working with those who have suffered from traumatic life events. I specialize in helping those with anxiety and depression, marital problems, career issues, and life management stressors.

While I believe my theoretical orientation is integrative, much of my work is based off of utilizing practices and principles from CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy). I am warm, compassionate, and understand the importance of creating a strong therapeutic alliance with clients. As a therapist, it is important to challenge you, to help you live to your fullest potential, acting as an advocate for you and supporting you along the way! I meet you where you are in your life and offer an ear to listen, free of judgment.

I look forward to "meeting" you!

Christie helped in the most stressful moments of my life! She was there to teach me great skills that I still use it everyday when I need. It’s also so impressive how she could see and understand me even if she only had met me online. Online therapy is practical and works. You’ll be glad for Christie the same as I am.

Christie has been amazing since day one. Has helped see things clearer, and encourage me to be myself. She really gets me, and for someone like me, that's a first. I definitely recommend her to anyone and everyone.

Christie is a fantastic and supportive counselor. She really listens and gets to know your problems and helps you through them - I am confident that when I talk to her she is not judging me and only wants to help and provide the right support. My sessions with her are very helpful. She is flexible and understanding with scheduling - which is great for busy people or people that have trouble keeping appointments because of their mental illness like me.

Christie has really helped my make some sense of some tough times, and difficult life situations. She's completely non-judgmental and offers a calming, thoughtful redirection of some of the negative feelings and reactions I've had.
Thank you.

Christi has changed my life in a way I never even knew would be possible. For so long I had accepted defeat and even thought there was no hope to solving my issues, so I bottled up all my emotions inside. Christi showed me how making an emotion log and giving myself mini tasks could improve my mood so much. Thanks to Christi I strive to get out of bed more and I actually feel like I can beat this depression/anxiety. She truly cares about my well being and I appreciate that.
