About Me
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Illinois with over 15 years of experience working as a counselor. I have worked with clients with various concerns, including toxic relationships, narcissistic abuse/recovery, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis, self-esteem, relationship issues, and life changes. I have helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient treatment centers, juvenile justice programs, corrections, mental health, and crisis centers. I have worked with a wide range of individuals, from teenagers to seniors. I have a master’s degree in human services, with a concentration in substance abuse, and a master’s degree in social work with a concentration in mental health. I am currently working on my doctorate in psychoanalysis.
My counseling style is friendly and relaxed. I believe in treating anyone with respect, understanding, and empathy. I have several approaches I use and believe every individual is unique. I tailor my approach to the individual and their needs. These approaches could be motivational interviewing, psychodynamic, strengths-based, Jungian, reality therapy, rational-emotive therapy, or cognitive behavioral therapy. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
The first step in change is reaching out and exploring what could be different. Together we can work towards a life of more freedom and change and overcoming the barriers that hold you back.
I look forward to working with you!

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Christina White. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Christina has been an excellent therapist. She is quick to follow up and listens well. I have especially appreciated the goal setting along the way of our therapy. It has been very helpful for me.
Christina is a great listener.
Christina is a great listener
Christine white is awesome! She has helped me work through things in many different ways. Definitely recommend.
I have only had one video session with Christina, but so far she is very knowledgeable and caring! I also love that she gives me assignments because it feels like she's trying to get to know me better.
Christina was great throughout my therapy. It was a pleasure working with her! I am a different person now, again full of love, laughs and happiness.
Helpful, sweet, patient.
A great person. Wonderful listener. Great at giving advice
She has been very good at listening. Communicating. And giving me resources to help me during this healing journey.
She’s the best
I have recommended several coworkers to BetterHelp and they are now in counseling with their own therapist. Its been a rough time with Covid and other personal things going on in most of our lives, but I am thankful for Christina for being there for me. She is wonderful!
So far I really like Christina, she’s been very respectful, understanding, and patient with me
Christina is a great listener and very present. She has a positive energy about her and is willing to do research outside of session times to help you find resources that can help support teaching your goals.
She has a kind spirit. Listens without judgement and responds with a very positive attitude. She has really helped me.
After talking to Christina I felt genuinely heard and cared for. She is a great listener and asked the right questions to help me get to the root issues, with helpful ideas to address them.
Christina is extremely empathetic and compassionate. She clearly holds much experience and expertise in her field which is shown through her passion for her clients. I have never felt more comfortable in such a short period of time. I also feel like I have made progress within areas of my life despite my time with her only being a few weeks. I truly feel like I have found support, and while the topics can be dreary, Christina doesn’t hesitate to keep things lighthearted when necessary with a good joke. She has achieved the fine balance of keeping things personable yet professional at the same time.
