I am a licensed clinical social worker in South Florida. I have had the privilege to work with clients of all ages in a variety of settings, including hospitals, inpatient and outpatient treatment centers, and community outreach facilities. I have spent a significant amount of my career helping clients address the underlying concerns (self esteem, relationships, abuse/trauma) behind substance abuse issues. I have worked in a variety of capacities with the LGBT community, including providing services to people living with HIV/AIDS. For those with concerns related to immediate family, I spent several years providing in-home services to youth and families, including serving as a clinician for a mobile crisis unit. The modalities for treatment I have most commonly used with clients include Solution Focus Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
In addition to my training in mental health, I also have degrees in music and music education. Prior to my career in mental health I worked as a music educator and performer. South Florida has been my home for over ten years, where I am able to combine providing therapy to clients with continuing to pursue musical interests through education and performing, as well as enjoying the diverse artistic and cultural offerings of this region.
I consider it a great privilege to assist clients as they seek to make changes in their lives, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with each individual at their own pace to address their unique concerns.

This is my first time using online counseling, but Christopher is very good at responding, acknowledging my concerns, and showing empathy about a topic which required objectivity on his part.
