About me

I have a decade of experience in treating a variety of issues, but my overarching desire and goal in therapy is to help you learn to love yourself more fully, accept yourself unconditionally, and discover what it means to be your unique self. Genuinely connecting with your inherent self-worth will be a powerful factor in healing all types of struggles and issues. There is nobody else like you and the world needs you to be yourself. Most of all, you need yourself. You are your most powerful friend and support.

Are you struggling with relationship problems? Are you experiencing the pain of unbearable tension in a relationship? I can help with this, regardless of the type of relationship you have. Do you battle with addictions of one kind or another? Do you find yourself engaging in unwanted behaviors you just can't seem to stop? I will help you understand addiction in a context that is empowering and non-shaming, and I will help you find your own inner strength to change behaviors you don't want. Do you need healing from past or current trauma or abuse? Do you have emotional wounds that just don't seem to heal? I can help you learn to relate to your own emotions so that they heal you as they are meant to do. I can help you improve your boundaries in life, if applicable, so that you can reduce the chances of future trauma. Do you experience the persistent pain of a mood disorder or thought patterns that make your life harder? I can guide you in working with your thoughts and emotions, instead of always feeling like you are fighting against them.

I also specialize in helping people with spiritual dilemmas. Some people need help removing themselves from religions they feel enslaved to. Some people are seeking to explore their own beliefs. Some people know what they feel and want support in expanding their spiritual ideas or experiences. Some people just want to increase their sense of connection to the people and larger world around them. Yet others are transitioning out of spirituality altogether and want support during this transition. Whatever the spiritual desire may be, I can provide support and guidance in a way that is non-judgmental and that honors your free will and right to believe what you choose.

I also have experience in helping people with parenting, finding passion in life, dealing with grief or loss, and other issues. Regardless of what you desire help or support in, I commit to do so in a way that empowers your right to live, feel, and think the way you choose. I commit to do so in a way that calls out your natural personality and strengths. I am not here to tell you how to live your life. I am here to help and to share wisdom and professional expertise in a way that taps into the expert inside of you.

I have a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Seattle Pacific University. I live in Pacific, WA. I have a wife and 3 children. I am passionate about life. I love to create pastel paintings and woodworking crafts. I camp and take road trips and love movies and all things nature. Life is meant to be enjoyed. It isn't perfect. It is often painful. But it is meant to be fulfilling and expanding and full of variety. I would love to help you with this if you desire.
