About me

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Tennessee and Florida with 5+ years of experience in serving the Veteran community in the hospital setting and over 10 years of working in the dual diagnosis and substance abuse treatment environments. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, career challenges, OCD, ADHD, traumatic experiences and emotional abuse.

My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I avoid focusing on stigmatizing labels. I utilize a strengths-based approach when working with you and my aim is to empower you to improve your life and mental health and help you navigate life with a little more ease. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs, using a combination of cognitive-behavioral, humanistic and psychodynamic counseling methods and I specialize in mindfulness based interventions.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Chris has helped me through a very difficult time. He comes across as caring and compassionate, but also gives me ideas and other perspectives (healthier ones) to chew on and consider. I highly recommend Chris as a therapist!

Chris has been so helpful and kind and empathic in a way I haven’t experienced in a therapist before.

Written on Jul 06, 2022 after therapy with Chris for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, addictions, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, intimacy-related issues, eating disorders, self esteem, coaching, compassion fatigue, and adhd

Chris has been really helpful in a very short amount of time (3 sessions) and helping me recognize some areas I really need to improve in but also validating why those areas are hard for me. This allows me to look at my life and myself from a place of neutrality, and thus without judgment or shame.

Chris is the best therapist I have had in years. I feel heard and respected. He is able to unpack difficult emotions such as guilt and provide practical support that helps me reframe my beliefs and behaviors. He makes me feel safe.
