About Me

I have been working as a Marriage and Family therapist since 2010. I was licensed in New Mexico for most of my career, but transferred to Washington state in 2016. I have worked with individuals and families from a variety of backgrounds and income levels and even served as a crisis counselor for a detention center for several years. Depression, anxiety, family/relationship problems, parenting issues, substance abuse, and Bipolar Disorder are part of my regular case load. I also enjoy working with clients who just feel "stuck" and need some support to find their way forward in life.

I try to keep my sessions friendly and welcoming. I enjoy humor and feel that it is a healthy coping skill to be utilized. Every problem has a solution waiting to be found and my goal is to help clients find their own unique solutions to life's most complicated issues. My practice includes cognitive behavioral approaches as well as mindfulness and solution focused therapy. I treat individuals as unique cases and avoid lumping people into categories. You are the expert in your life. My job is to help you see options that may have been missed and help you move forward.

Therapy can be an intimidating process. My goal is to make it comfortable, helpful, and maybe even a little fun.

Cindy has been very understanding with my issues and has helped me reframe my thinking. She has a way of speaking her own opinion, but also being respectful. She doesn't hold any punches when she is being honest. Which is good. I do recommend Cindy if you are looking for a therapist that will listen to you and help see issues that you didn't think of.

Cindy is amazing and can relate to a lot of different scenarios. She is kind, patient and sincere. She does not push anything on you that you are not comfortable with and has lots of suggestions for you. I will utilize Cindy's services from here on out!

Cindy is outstanding. Thoughtful, patient, open minded, caring, rational and supportive. I could make a list a mile long of her good qualities and how I value her as a therapist and simply as another human being. She is literally a life saver and one I’m lucky to have.

Cindy is amazing. Her response time to my lengthy and random emails is almost immediate. She even reaches out when I don't respond. I feel that I can get more information out in an email format than a live session, but I need to do more of those. I really appreciate having her in my corner to listen to me and help me see things more clearly. I'm really thankful she's my counselor.

Cindy is straightforward and blunt. She is respectful but pushes on sensitive topics. She highly encourages growth as a person and is very supportive when need be. 10/10 would recommend (and have).

Cindy has been a wonderful guide through my trials. She is thoughtful in her approach, and honest in her feedback. I couldn't have asked for a better counselor and therapist during this extremely challenging time in my life. I was very skeptical of this method of therapy when I started, but Cindy has exceeded my expectations and made me feel extremely comfortable with the legitimacy of BetterHelp. I would recommend her to anyone.
