About Me
I am a Master's level, licensed counselor with over 20 year experience in human services. Currently, I operate a small private practice where I have been seeing clients for 18 years. Before that, and during the beginning of my practice, I also worked for several agencies in various roles including family therapist, individual therapist, group therapist, play therapist, foster care specialist, social worker, and mental health provider for "therapeutic" classrooms. These experiences have given me both insight and skills for various populations. I will incorporate all of this into my practice to form a therapeutic partnership with you.
While I practice from many different counseling theories and protocols, I experience the best outcomes for my clients by tailoring my approach to your unique issues and personality. Additionally, I typically advocate appropriate holistic interventions, for example, exercise, specific journaling, mindfulness, and expressive therapy if indicated and with acceptance from you.
I want you to know that I will work with you; and, for you to know that I work for you. My goal is to provide advocacy, respectful listening, and unconditional support that is non-judgmental. I will be your safe place where you can explore issues and barriers to you well being. Once we've determine what those are, we will work together to overcome both emotional barriers and logistical barriers with the goal of a happier, healthier perspective. You will always feel better after our time together.
If you're looking for life coaching, our relationship will be a bit different. We will identify tangible goals and develop a plan to reach those goals, looking at them realistically, identifying barriers and how to overcome those barriers in a cognitive, step by step process. Life coaching is about "getting after it" and the best way to accomplish that.
The first step is reaching out. Congratulations! You did that!
I look forward to working with you.

Cindy has been extremely helpful in guiding me on my mental health journey. I felt very lost and she’s helped me navigate with her professionalism and thoughtful methods. I cannot say enough about how she’s changed my outlook for the better.
A really great experience overall
She is really understanding and she knows that exact word to say. Available all the time
I have been working with Cindy for the past several months while going through a particularly rough period of my life and she has been everything I needed and more. She is very understanding and easy to talk to while also being firm when needed. She truly has a gift and I am beyond grateful that I was matched with her. I have nothing but praise for Cindy and feel very fortunate to continue to work with her.
So far she has had many helpful tips and Is the most understanding and kind counselor that I’ve had in my lifetime. She has great tips great advice and I really feel a confident connection with her that I haven’t felt with a counselor in a long time.

I have been working with Cindy for a few weeks now and she is very insightful and helpful. She helps me find my own conclusions and offers great additional resources for subjects that we talk about. I am happy to have found a great counselor like Cindy.
Cindy has done a great job in just a short amount of time asking all the right questions, sending me questionnaires etc. to better understand me, my needs and create a path/direction towards making my life better and improving myself. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for guidance and support in regards to improving irrational thinking, stress, parenting and past trauma.
I have really found Cindy's help and insight helpful and I've only had 3 sessions so far. It is evident she is well informed and has a variety of resources to help. And her advice has been very eye-opening as well.
