Cindy Sharp, LICSW
I am an Alabama Licensed Social Worker with gleaned experience working with diverse populations and age ranges including adults, adolescents, and children. Various genres of my work have included individuals of trauma, substance use/addiction, prior/current incarceration, daily coping, and parenting.
I believe in a holistic strengths-based approach to therapy and enjoy a diverse client population of individuals that may be dealing with childhood trauma, adult trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, self-esteem, substance use disorders, irrational thought patterns, and maladaptive coping skills.
Since a one-size-fits-all approach has not been proven effective, I focus on client-centered therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral approaches, Dialectical Behavioral approaches, and problem-solving techniques.
I am passionate about providing an environment where individuals and or families can find unconditional positive regard, safety, and support to explore and become the best version of themselves. The journey of self-healing and self-discovery can be excitingly terrifying but well worth it. Take the first step and let me support and empower you along the way!!
Additional areas of focus: Relationship issues, Family conflicts, Grief, Anger management, Career difficulties, Bipolar disorder, Coaching, ADHD
Clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy

Cindy is a sympathetic listener and a patient therapist. She asks questions that will help you think about things from a new perspective, and she offers judgement-free insights that are essential to healing and improving your situation. She's excellent at guiding you from where you are to where you want to be. Highly recommended , and I'll be forever grateful.
