I am an Alabama Licensed Social Worker with gleaned experience working with diverse populations and age ranges including adults, adolescents, and children. Various genres of my work have included individuals of trauma, substance use/addiction, prior/current incarceration, daily coping, and parenting.
I believe in a holistic strengths-based approach to therapy and enjoy a diverse client population of individuals that may be dealing with childhood trauma, adult trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, self-esteem, substance use disorders, irrational thought patterns, and maladaptive coping skills.
Since a one-size-fits-all approach has not been proven effective, I focus on client-centered therapy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral approaches, Dialectical Behavioral approaches, and problem-solving techniques.
I am passionate about providing an environment where individuals and or families can find unconditional positive regard, safety, and support to explore and become the best version of themselves. The journey of self-healing and self-discovery can be excitingly terrifying but well worth it. Take the first step and let me support and empower you along the way!!

She is great
Cindy sharpe is (so far) the best therapist I have had experience with
Cindy is a sympathetic listener and a patient therapist. She asks questions that will help you think about things from a new perspective, and she offers judgement-free insights that are essential to healing and improving your situation. She's excellent at guiding you from where you are to where you want to be. Highly recommended , and I'll be forever grateful.
Just my first session with Cindy went great she didn’t just hear me she listened and found ways for me to deal with what I’m going through each day. She was really personable and sweet she’s highly recommended
Cindy does a great job of asking questions. Even if you don’t know how to answer she is patient and kind and gives you time to think and respond.
Great person and even better therapist… Thank you for the help to this point Cindy. Talk to you soon
I was very pleased with my first session with Cindy. She was focused on my concerns and provided assignments/exercises for me to work on between sessions. She was genuinely concerned about my mental health. Also, I love the fact that she was flexible and her response turn-around time was quick. (Same day-within hours) I am looking forward to my next session.
Cindy, listen and help you work through your problems. She encourages and support
I love her so sweet, very helpful!!!!
Cindy, is the best and she really is a good listener, which, for me, is key. A compassionate therapist. I really was very fortunate to have been matched with her. A professional, pleasant, surprise.
Cindy is super sweet & one of the easiest people to talk to I have ever met! Through my short time with her, I have learned a lot and am so excited to continue meeting with her!
Cindy is wonderful! Within our sessions, I felt seen and heard. She definitely helps to normalize and validate some of the emotions and feelings I have been experiencing.
Cindy Sharp is well educated, trained, and knowledgeable! In just a short time, I feel that we have developed a great rapport. I look forward to continuing my therapy with Ms. Sharp.
