My name is Claudia Veronica Arjona, but I go by Veronica. I was born and raised in South America, where I started my path as a therapist over 15 years ago. There, I specialized in family therapy for clients with psychiatric needs. Shortly after, I decided to come to the States to complete my training. After finishing a Masters in Expressive Arts therapy, I have worked with individuals, families, children, and youth. I have mainly worked with POC, people with past experiences of immigration, addiction, trauma, and/or the culturally diverse. I am able to provide therapy in both Spanish and English.
My ultimate goal as a therapist is to support and accompany you in your self-discovery process. My approach is person-centered, independently of your concerns. That means I’ll follow your lead and tend to your needs in a way that makes sense to you.
I have training in traditional psychoanalytic approaches, evidence-based cognitive and dialectical behavioral treatments, family and humanistic approaches. I also use art and creative interventions to support development of skills that maintain healthy self-care. I draw tools from all of these disciplines to adapt my sessions to the personal needs of each individual. My aim is to help you in processing emotions and develop skills that can support you to create personal relationships that are fulfilling and meaningful. I wish to open the space for an environment that promotes growth, inspires creative and proactive living.
