About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting my page.
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Massachusetts and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina. I have over fifteen years of experience working with preteens to seniors. My experiences have taught me the importance of being an active listener who is nonjudgmental and noncondemning. In my work, it is important for me to inspire others.

My specialties include Ethnic discovery, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, and Executive Functioning skill development. Because every situation is different and flexibility is important I also use eclectic variations of meditation, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Strength-Based strategies. Since prayer has shown to relieve tension and provide focus, together we will consult about its use during the counseling sessions. My willingness to hear your words and heart will guide the depth and aid of our discussions in the establishment of goals.

In much of the Bible, we learn about peace, joy and well being. Together we will pursue and practice skills to diminish or resolve issues that get in the way of obtaining your own level of well-being. I am inspired by Philemon 1:5-6, and the good things Christ has for you.

It would be my privilege to assist you in finding your place of peace, joy, and wellbeing.

I really appreciate Cleo. She has taken the time to really get to know me and has the courage to let me know when I'm needing to rethink things. She always has me consider all perspectives and is patient as I am, sometimes slowly, learning to implement changes. Anyone who has the privilege of working with Cleo is blessed.

Cleo and I didn’t meet for very long before I moved and had to seek another counselor but she’s wonderful at what she does. I would be happy to work with her again and I think that her calm and friendly disposition make her a great counselor for anyone who has had difficulties in counseling in the past.

Cleo is the best therapist I've had. She approaches all of our conversations with tremendous empathy, compassion, and active listening. She is especially sensitive to the unique experiences faced by women of color, immigrants, and multi-generational families – that was not easy for me to find in my previous experiences with therapy. We started out and have maintained video-only conversations, which I really appreciated as it helped build our relationship early on. I recommend Cleo wholeheartedly.

When I can find the words to gush over Cleo's efficacy without taking up pages of space, I'll do it. She's more than with the space, but who wants to read all that? I've been a student of life / mind & heart science for about thirty years now on and off, and she's one of the best I've met.

Cleo is patient, asks just enough probing questions, and helps you to think beyond your immediate stressors. This is my first foray into counseling in my 30 years and she truly helped guide me through some difficult situations and ways to manage my anxiety. I’m appreciative of the work that I’ve been to do with Cleo’s support and coaching.

I've been with Mrs. Cleo for almost a year now and I remember coming to her as a bruised, battered down man with nothing in sight. Now that I've had the perfect counselor to push me and build me back up, I can see things a lot clearer. I look forward to what the next years have in store for us. Thank you Mrs. Cleo!
