Professor Porter’s profound insights and empathy have helped guide me through immensely difficult times and trials. Every session with him provides another building block for the structured life I envision for myself, bringing me closer not only to my goals, plans and dreams, but my fundamental “self.”

Listens well and relates to other things I’ve said in earlier sessions. Also encourages me to act and think in new ways, and then checks up on how it went in the next session. He also likes to share stories that relates to what I struggle with, and that helps me feel less alone with my issues when I hear others are/have been in similar situations.
