About me

I have worked as a therapist for 8 years and love the honor of journeying with clients through transitions and difficult moments in their lives and as they seek a deeper understand of who they are who they want to be in the world. I went to school in Seattle at a small school called the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. They focused on a range of theories there, so I was exposed to many ways of practicing and was therefore able to find where I most resonate as a therapist myself. I utilize various theories in my work with people, but rely heavily upon the psychodynamic model because of the depth of work that it facilitates.

As a counselor, I believe in the importance of collaborating with each client to determine what will be most helpful for them in this work. I believe that much of our sorrow and struggles are rooted in relational harm in our past, and that similarly, there is healing to be found in present relationship. There is goodness in bringing stories and past griefs to another, so we are not left holding them alone. I am happy to meet you where you are would be honored to join you as you make this step towards healing and wholeness.

Finding a counselor can be a daunting task, as you are trusting a stranger with delicate and tender parts of yourself. I would be honored to meet with you via video or chat on the phone to assess if this is a good fit for your current needs. I understand the awkwardness of beginning this work and will do my best to listen well to what you need and how and if I may be of help.

I look forward to meeting with you and learning from you.

* I am currently available to work with female-identifying clients *
