About me

Hello-I am so glad you are here to start your journey of growth and healing! My name is Colleen. I am a therapist with over 20 years experience helping people navigate and find their way to a happy, healthy, successful, and balanced life. By training I am a licensed mental health counselor and a credentialed trauma, mindfulness, and stress reduction counselor. Together with my extensive experience, I combine traditional treatments along with a variety of natural approaches to bring real and lasting change to your life. We will talk about not only what you are struggling with, but we will find ways to have a deeper understanding of the patterns of behavior that have gotten in the way of finding useful and creative solutions. I will help you learn coping skills to improve emotional regulation, anxiety, communication, and self esteem along with strategies to improve overall mental health and brain functioning. Taking a holistic approach to my work, I successfully utilize a variety of treatments for trauma, anxiety, stress management, ASD, physical abuse, and sexual abuse. I also have extensive experience with psychosis, learning disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, ADD/ADHD, and phobias.

Passionate about my work, I strive to provide a caring, empathetic, and supportive environment to help foster healing and growth. I believe in treating everyone with respect, dignity, sensitivity, and compassion. Everyone deserves to live a life that leaves you excited to wake up in the morning. You can have a life of peace, love, abundance, and joy. Change can be very difficult. It takes strength and courage to seek help. Sometimes to move forward we need a safe place to talk about things and figure out what is going on. I will do all that I can to support, empower, and guide you through this difficult time. We will work together to help you heal, grow, develop and create healthy relationships, as well as achieving balance, wellness, and fulfillment in your daily life. You are not alone. I am looking forward to getting to know you, and working with you to help you discover the life you want.

Collen Clark has been such a blessing in my life. I had tried counseling in the past but could not find a counselor that I felt comfortable with. Collen was the first counselor I worked with who did not judge or stereotype me. She understood my difficulties very well and instead of just talking about them, she taught me practical techniques to address my needs. She also took time to explain the research and rationale behind everything we did in our sessions, something very important to me as a scientifically minded person. My life is immensely better because of Colleen, and I would recommend her to anyone.

I have just re-started with Colleen and will have my first new appointment next week. My family told me how much better I seemed to be and I did really enjoy my conversations and felt I was speaking to a trusted friend but also someone who was trained to help me along my journey of discovery and healing. I am looking forward to continuing this journey.
