Colleen Cook, LCSW
About me
I am a LCSW who has over 20 years of working with older adults and issues regarding to healthy aging. For the last 5 years, I have experience working with care partners of people living with Alzheimer's and Related Dementias (ADRD). I have seen how this disease affects not only the person living with the disease, but also everyone who comes into contact with that person. My approach is to help you see how you can build a strong team around you to assist you with this caregiving experience as well as equip you with ways of coping with stress and anxiety in addition to providing mindfulness, hope, and joy.
I have also worked as a professor for undergraduate college students for the past 13 years. Even though I was not a therapist to these students, I did take the time to listen to their struggles, help them process stress and anxiety, and direct them to seek appropriate mental health services when needed.
