About Me

"Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls." - Joseph Campbell

Hello and Welcome! I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with over 20 years in mental and behavioral health. I have primarily worked with adults, teens, and young adults. Most people who seek my support are experiencing some form of transition or stress in their lives. Typically this means they are trying to move forward in some arena in their life, whether it be work, school or relationships. Often when we are going through a transition or have some stressor we look for meaning and a way through. I have been able to help others move through these difficult spots by focusing on who they are and their strengths.

I believe the most effective way forward is by being open, yet not judgmental of ourselves and our situation. Self-compassion and practicing empathy for ourselves and others can help us move forward. Knowing what is most important to you, your values, and how that relates to what you are facing is always the foundation of our work together.

My therapeutic approach is based in strength-based approaches including Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Therapy. I can also offer Brene Brown's work on The Daring Way and Rising Strong if appropriate for what you are experiencing. I often also include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches to help address some of our stressful behavioral and thought patterns. I offer my clients practical tools and resources, such as breath work, book/video suggestions, mindfulness training, and journaling.

When we work together, you can expect a compassionate and curious environment. I believe that you have the answers and solutions within you and when we work together we will find them and bring them to life.

I look forward to meeting you and wish you well with whatever brought you here today.
