About me

My name is Constance Moore, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker  in the State of Florida. I earned my masters of social work degree specializing in General Studies from Florida State University in 1987. I've worked in many different settings with individuals, geriatrics, and families who have a variety of personal issues such as depression, anxiety, emotional abuse, eating disorder, and mental health disorders of all kinds, schizophrenia, bipolar, borderline personality disorders, and adolescents who were involved in all types of high risk behaviors. Over the past 29 years as a  clinician, my experience has taught me that when one shows genuine concern towards the individual and understands what the individual concerns are then the next steps should be to help alleviate the stress so that one can live their lives to their fullest capabilities. In my many years of practicing I have received a great deal of gratitude from knowing and participating in the counseling process that has made some differences in their own lives. I believe when the patient has established trust in the therapist only then are they willing to discuss their deepest feelings and get to the root of their problems or concerns.

I have dedicated most  of my life to the field of mental health mostly with young adult and geriatrics populations.I specialized in psychiatric mental health disorders, depression, anxiety, codependency, domestic violence, trauma, and anger management.  My treatment approach is rather laid back, but is set on the foundation of patient- therapists therapeutic relationship to include using theory's such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused, narrative therapy and reality therapy. It has been an honor and privilege to assist people through some of their  most devastating and saddest moments of their lives. I enjoy seeing people overcome big obstacles that appear unattainable. However, with some time and a great deal of patience they will be amazed of their own goals and dreams they have accomplished for themselves.

When she was my therapist I enjoyed talking to her and she gave me great advice that still sticks with me.

Connie Moore is an actual angel. She helped me through one of the absolute hardest times of life, when I was feeling absolutely shattered she quite literally put me back together. I will never forget her compassion, and how empowered she made me feel. I can’t thank her enough.

Connie has been an absolute God send during the craziest time in my life. Patient, insightful, kind, and so warm to listen to everything. I've worked through some of the most significant hurdles of my life, and had never done therapy before. Family issues, work pressure, even moving to a different state! So open and helpful. Can't recommend her enough

Constance is an understanding caring counselor. She is a great source support throughout all our interactions. An incredible counselor she is, who has the ability to accommodate personal needs and backgrounds. As an example, I am someone who lives on a different continent with a different culture. She is still able to employ her long years of experience to accommodate such differences and personal needs (and time zones!). I never stayed on with a counselor as much as I am with Constance. I would recommend her to anyone who is serious about turning their lives around.

Connie has been a great friend and supporting figure throughout my therapy time with her. She is very understanding of my schedule and anything that may come up, as well as of any topics that are on my mind and I want to talk through. She has adapted her style for a better match with mine wherever I have expressed my preference and she is very attuned to outside topics that I want to bring into our session. She also seems to genuinely care and has been reliable for our sessions.

Connie is amazing. She is so caring and straightforward and she has helped me identify my goals and work through traumatic grief. I have had a couple other therapists over the years and none have helped me as much, made me laugh as much, or made me feel as seen and comfortable as Connie!
