Dr. Corby Thompson
About me
Welcome! My name is Corby Thompson, MS, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) in Oklahoma. I work with individuals from a relational perspective to provide help to people experiencing anxiety, depression, mood problems, trauma histories, relationship problems, LGBT+ issues, gender identity issues, performance issues (e.g. sexual, work, athletic, academic), chronic pain, and spirituality issues.
I obtained my LPC license after graduating from Southern Nazarene University with an MS in Counseling Psychology. I am currently in the final stages of earning a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Oklahoma. Throughout my years of training and practice I have worked in many types of counseling settings including university, VA hospital, community mental health, hospital inpatient, hospital intensive outpatient, private, and group practice settings.
Some of my personal interests are mountain biking, reef aquaria, and creating great coffee! Most people describe me as attentive, compassionate, and deeply engaged. As a part of my empowerment paradigm, I greatly value your input as we determine the plans and goals that will bring you a sense of relief, confidence, and fulfillment in the future. I look forward to getting to know you soon!
