About Me

Hello!

My name is Corey Thompson and I appreciate your consideration. I have been a therapist for ten years and Graduated from The California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California with a Masters in Counseling Psychology and an emphasis in Community Mental Health. I currently provide in person therapy in Oklahoma (LPC). And telehealth in the state of Washington (LMHC).

In my time as a therapist I have had the opportunity to work with both individuals and families across a broad spectrum of mental health disorders and diverse cultural and socio-economic experiences. My expertise lies in working with individuals dealing with co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD and substance use.

I also have specialized training around sexuality, sex, sexual fulfillment, sexual function and work with people to reduce shame and increase satisfaction in both their personal and intimate relationships.

My focus in working with you is to develop a plan that will help you impact and expand your skills and strategies to manage your symptoms, overcome obstacles and build a strength based positive approach to your daily life. My approach is Positive, Person Centered and Solution Focused to meet you where you are at and help you manage your emotional experience better and change behaviors and responses that are impacting your daily life. Corey is absolutely an awesome counselor and therapist. He is kind, down to earth, respects me and my opinions and helps me work through the tough stuff. He helps me diffuse and calm myself down. He’s awesome.
