About me
Welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California with 10 years of post-graduate experience. I received my Bachelors for California State University, Hayward and my Masters degrees from California State University, Sacramento. I believe that continuing my growth as a therapist is essential to provide the best experience for my clients. I have sought training/certification in motivational interviewing, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based stress relief and Parent Child Interaction Therapy to name a few. My work-experience includes working with individuals, families and couples who struggle with interpersonal traumas, abuse histories, and anxiety.
I am a goal oriented therapist and I enjoy working with people who take an active role in their own growth and healing. I believe building a strong client-therapist relationship is essential in providing good therapy and I will take the time needed to develop this relationship. I commonly use interventions guided by cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness/grounding techniques. Treatment should fit each persons individual needs. I will work with you to develop personalized goals and work to achieve them!
Seeking therapy can be make you feel vulnerable and I respect that in all people willing to make positive changes in their lives. I look forward to helping you bring positive outcomes from therapy into your life!
