About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), with Master’s degrees in Applied Psychology and Counseling. I have been working in the mental health and substance abuse fields for the past 11 years. I am licensed in Maryland, California, and Colorado, and I have a wide variety of professional experience that includes inpatient, outpatient, and managed care. I am well versed in the continuum of behavioral health care services, providing me with a unique perspective on what an optimal therapeutic experience should feel like for a client.

I believe that navigating the challenges of life is a journey, and therapy can help when we find ourselves off course and want to change direction. I believe healing, personal growth, and healthy relationships are achievable for everyone, and as your counselor I will come alongside you to help you achieve your best life. My goal is to empower you to reach your full potential, while supporting you fully. I bring warmth, humor, and acceptance to the therapeutic relationship, and I believe in the power of a direct and transparent approach to communication. With a healthy balance of support and guidance, I will help you to resolve the issues that are currently holding you back from creating positive changes in your life.

I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, and I employ a variety of proven therapeutic methods to match the best approach to your individual needs. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Practices, and Trauma Focused Approaches. I look forward to working with you.
