Courtney Durgin

About Me

In our hurried lives, we sometimes find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from loved ones, or "stuck" and unsure about where we are headed. Some of us may even struggle with a past that continues to define our present. As a counselor, I strive to provide a safe, supportive environment promoting awareness, cultivating strengths, and encouraging lasting change. My clients frequently describe me as warm, genuine, non-judgmental, easy to talk to, insightful and motivating. My style draws upon a range experience including grief/hospice care, family/couple systems, and group and individual treatment for clients with severe depression, anxiety, and addiction.

I specialize in working with individuals and couples to improve relationships/communication, navigate transitions, manage depression/anxiety/emotions, and change unhealthy patterns. In response to trauma, loss, or stressors, some people have developed addictions. I am licensed and experienced in supporting clients struggling with both mental health and addiction issues.

I have an MS in Counseling, specialization in Family Systems and advanced training in couples/family therapy modalities from New England Family Institute. I invite you to reach out so that may discuss your needs and how I can help.
