Hi, my name is Courtney Leon, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I have been actively practicing therapy for 11 years, doing individual, family and couples counseling. I have worked for several non-profit agencies, the Department of Defense and maintained a private practice.
I utilize a variety of therapeutic theories and techniques, and I personalize them to each individual I am working with. I work with a client centered approach, meaning we will work on whatever you feel is relevant in your life. It's about your agenda, not mine. I provide empathy and a non-judgmental approach to any situation, and look for possible solutions and techniques clients can use to improve their lives.
I am married, have two children and work full time and I am well aware of all the stress life can bring to us on a daily basis. I attempt to find balance and happiness in my own life, integrating exercise, hiking, yoga and lots of dancing, in addition to fun time with friends and family. However, I do realize the struggle is real, and balancing life is hard.
I became a therapist because I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be happy and sometimes we are in need of help to get there. I believe that through participating in counseling, it is possible to achieve that change you are looking for in your life, and get some help with the struggle!!
- Trauma and abuse
I also have experience in Stress, Anxiety, LGBT, Grief, Intimacy-related, Anger, Self esteem, Career, Bipolar, Depression

Courtney is the best counselor I have found. She is very attentive, showing genuine interest in my experiences. I can tell she actually cares about how I feel, and the outcome of my actions. She is inquisitive and non-judgmental. Her energy is light, fair and understanding. She will also make you think; I've had a lot of "aha!" moments. You would be very lucky to be paired with Courtney!!
Courtney has been extremely helpful and is an amazing listener, and I feel really supported in my journey to mental health with her. :)
