About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Michigan with over six years experience working with various individuals from age 5 to 60+. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Ferris State University in 2015. I have worked with people challenged by depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and life changing situations. I am trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for children and adolescents. Through a previous position as a home-based therapist, I was able to support children and adolescents with their mental health struggles as well as support parents/caregivers through their mental health struggles.

My therapy style is warm, laid-back, and flexible. I believe in treating anyone with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. I like to create a safe space for my clients to express their true feelings and thoughts in a judgement free zone. This allows for my clients to become more comfortable and build a foundation to improve their lives. My approach combines a strength based approach, CBT, mindfulness, seeking safety, person-centered techniques, solution-focused, parent management, reframing, reflection of content/feelings, psychoeducation, TFCBT, skill building, problem solving, reflective listening, clarification, and redirection. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

You are welcome to message me anytime through Better Help. I will check messages as often as I can, as I am a traditional outpatient therapist as well. I offer messaging, live chat, phone sessions and occasional video sessions. Please note that what you see in my calendar may not reflect my only availability so you always want to check that out with me through messaging first.

It takes a lot of courage to take the first step. You should be very proud of yourself. I look forward to meeting you and traveling this journey with you!
