About me

Hello and welcome! I believe the most important element of therapy is therapeutic rapport. I approach each client in a strengths based way, ensuring your comfort and empowering you to reach the goals YOU set for yourself. I’m committed to empowering you to overcome social conditioning, triumph over life’s challenges, and transform the self-critical thoughts that stress you out and undermine your confidence. I utilize many Evidence Based methods, including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and DBT, all through a trauma based, ecological, and culturally competent lens.

A little about me: I’m a divorced mother of three teenagers and I am in a committed interracial partnership. I understand the complexity of balancing the many roles of being a mother and professional within the context of a white patriarchal and capitalist society.

I empathetically approach each client with an awareness of the economic pressures, racial injustices, and gender inequalities of our time. I have extensive experience working with clients from all backgrounds and am committed to a lifetime of learning from my clients, through research and from personal, lived experience. I look forward to working with you!

For the past eight years, I have developed extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults who present with symptoms related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, ADHD, drug and alcohol dependence, sex addiction, and a number of other related issues. I'm committed to ensuring that every client feels empowered within his or her cultural/racial/gender/sexual identity and I work hard to continue educating myself in regard to my work with diverse populations. My number one priority in meeting with you is that you will feel safe and know the power that rests within YOU to heal whatever parts of you are asking to be healed. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), having attained my Master's in Social Work from Indiana University. I look forward to meeting you!

Cristina has helped me turn my life around. She is truly the easiest person I’ve ever been able to open myself up to.
She is a very kind and warming, with mountains of knowledge on how to help you.
Before I met Cristina my life was full of constant anxiety and stress.
Within a very short time she helped me see what was really bothering me and how to go about making positive changes.
I cannot speak highly enough of this remarkable lady.
A credit to her line of work. The world needs more people like
Her who want to help.
I’ll be forever grateful for her help.

Cristina's gives off a very calming energy and creates a safe space to share everything and anything. She seeks out ways of helping me work through my anxiety and the issues surrounding it as well as listening and responding. I have complete trust in Cristina and her methods and would strongly recommend her as a therapist.

Cristina is a great therapist, but most importantly a very kind and attentive person. We connected from the very first day and I feel very lucky to have had her support and guide me through my little journey. We were processing my past with the help of meditation and EMSR practices. Our practical work together and Cristina’s valuable theoretical input helped me become more motivated to work further on my progress outside of therapy.
