About me

I graduated with my masters in social work from hawaii pacific university in 2009. I gained my clinical hours and experience while working with the severe mentally ill and substance abuse or dependence population. Upon completion of my hours I obtained my LCSW and began practice as a psychotherapist working with various populations including eating disorders, substance use, mental illness, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I currently work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, gender identity, sexuality, relationship and or behavioral issues. The populations I work with vary in age from adolescents to elderly adults.

I utilize an eclectic base of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral, supportive, acceptance, mindfulness, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I have also been trained in utilizing Acceptance and commitment therapy for trauma, EMDR for Trauma. As well as Mindfulness for anxiety and depression. I am extremely compassionate, empathetic, and genuine with my approach and outlook on life and work. I believe I have a clear understanding of the struggles people face and am confident that through therapy and a genuine desire for change people can improve the quality of their life!
