Hello, I am Crystal Gardiner, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Oklahoma and a National Certified Counselor. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I went on to obtain my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, a CACREP accredited university. I have worked in the mental health field for 9 years. I work in a community mental health clinic with clients of varying ages from children and adolescents to adults and the elderly. I have experience in working with clients on a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, difficult life transitions, anger, ADHD, parent-child relationships, and self esteem.
My treatment approach is person centered at it's foundation. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a very powerful catalyst for change. I also draw from cognitive behavioral therapy when working with clients. I believe in adjusting my counseling style as necessary to best meet the client's needs.
I strive to empower, educate, and promote self growth through genuine, non-judgmental interactions. My goal is to help you discover your strengths, work through difficulties, and assist you in discovering ways to live a more fulfilled life.
