About Me

I am a proud alumni of Fisk University and Howard University. It was at Howard University that I obtained my Master's in Social Work. I began my career working with treatment foster youth providing individual and family therapy at a non-profit organization. After dedication and hard work I was promoted to Project Director and began to engage in recruitment in training. After, I conducted risk assessments for Baltimore County Department of Social Services in their Adult Protective Services Unit. Lastly, I transitioned into the medical field working in discharge planning at MedStar Union Memorial and then University of Maryland in their pain clinic. I am a Baltimore native who has been dedicating most of my time to building up my community through volunteer efforts and mental health education. I call myself the "reality" therapist because I like to keep things authentic in hopes that it will assist the client with overcoming barriers. I utilize various approaches such as mindfulness, CBT, Gestalt , and reality therapy. Our relationship is based on authenticity, open communication, and a partnership to finding ways to build on skills you already possess. Always remember, you are resilient! You can't control what happens to you but you can control how you respond to it.

I’m so happy I was paired with Crystal! She always gets me together. I appreciate her honesty approach. Crystal always gets me to look at the bigger picture, provides active feedback & gives homework so that I can continue to do the work. I’m in a better mental space because of her!

Crystal is really great! She’s incredibly perceptive and can very easily get to the root of my issues, even when I can’t see it myself. She’s always fairly response and is regularly checking in. She is supportive through messaging, through normal scheduled sessions, and through exercises that are applicable to our talks. I’m really thankful to have her as my counselor.
