About Me

I am a licensed professional social worker and I have been practicing for the past 7 years in a variety of settings including mental health crisis stabilization, severe mental illness, substance use, and outpatient health care in both the private and community sectors. My training at the University of Washington included work with individuals, groups, and communities.

I believe everyone has innate strengths and, with the right empathy, support, and motivation, can make long-term positive changes. I view therapy as a continuous process affected by a variety of constantly moving parts. Recovery is not linear and we all have ups and downs! I am committed to meeting you wherever you are in your journey--that means not judging you!-- and walking with you through the changes YOU want to make.

My areas of interest include depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, addiction, trauma, and women's issues. I approach therapy from a person-centered, solution-focused systems approach. I will look at the relationship between various internal and external factors that support your change. I also utilize cognitive behavioral therapy to address how underlying thoughts impact feelings and behaviors.

I know reaching out can be difficult and I applaud your willingness to take the first step. I look forward to working with you!
