About Me

Hello and welcome to Better Help. That first step to seek out a counselor can be a tough one. I want you to feel safe sharing what brought you here in a non-judgmental atmosphere.

My name is Cyndie Kieffer; I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Indiana. Additionally, I am also a Certified Professional Practitioner in Animal Assisted Play Therapy-R. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from University of Southern Indiana and have had the opportunity to work in a variety of settings through my career both with adults and children. Currently, I work with older adults and youth who are navigating a variety of concerns including anxiety, life changes and depression. I also have an extensive history working with adults with intellectual disabilities.

As a strengths based practitioner I meet clients where they are and we work together to achieve their goals. Through using a variety of therapeutic interventions during sessions it is my hope that you will feel heard, understand and empowered.

I look forward to working with you.

During this past month, I have been fortunate when being matched with Cyndie. She is kind, respectful, responsive, knowledgeable, and supportive. I cannot stop feeling so thankful for the time I’ve been able to spend talking with her because it truly has helped me in so many ways. I would recommend Cyndie to all of my friends without a doubt.

At first, I really wasn't sold on Bettehelp and the platform but Cyndie is awesome. She helps me feel confident. She helps me understand situations and that helps me a lot. She has helped me calmed down my anxiety so much. She really is awesome.
