About me

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida, where I graduated with my bachelor's and master's degree. I have worked with clients that had various obstacles during a specific time or multiple obstacles in their life at different stages in life. Allowing me to have gained experience in helping people through the different life stages we all face as we grow and change in life. Along with unexpected critical situations that also can come up in life. I have experience dealing with addiction issues, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, career challenges, trauma (physical, mental, emotional, and sexual).

My therapeutic style is very adaptive depending on the personality of the client. Many of my clients have described me to be very transparent and humorous. At the same time, I am interactive and warm. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. Leading me to be very nonjudgmental and empathic towards others.

My approach when it comes to working with others and the most important part of working with others is having a good rapport and having people, I work with feel safe when talking with me. The different types of techniques I like to use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Experiential from time to time, Group Therapy, individual therapy, life skills, Trauma Therapy, and Substance addiction. Along with reminding the person that they are the expert in their lives and I am just here to help them along their journey to becoming the person, gaining the ability, or just overcoming challenges that stand in their way to being the person that they envision themselves to be.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you along that way. I would feel honored if I am the person you choose to help you along that path.

I look forward to seeing and hearing from you and appreciate the time you took to click on my page to learn about me and how I want to help you make the changes you want in your life.

There are times when I feel Cynthia understands my setbacks way better than I do. Its at those times I know she's able to help keep me grounded in the discussion and focus on my growth.

After just a few sessions, I can already feel the progress of our work together. Cynthia is warm, personable, and I feel I can be my true self with her. She is affirming but comfortable interjecting or pushing back when necessary, which I really appreciate. I have tried working with several other therapists and the fit hasn't felt right til now. She has a way of putting me at ease and really letting me guide the session without even realizing I'm doing it.
