Hello, and welcome to my page! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California with over 20 years of experience working with children, youth, and adults in a variety of settings. I started out my career providing case management/counseling services and eventually went on to take management and leadership positions in community-based organizations. In the last 13 years, I have also been supervising and training bachelor and graduate students to provide case management and therapeutic services. I enjoy reading, playing word and puzzle games, and gardening (beginner).
My specialty is working with people experiencing a wide range of challenges including self-confidence, depression, anxiety, pregnancy and/or parenting, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and various types of trauma such as sexual, emotional, and physical abuse.
My counseling style is down to earth, compassionate, and caring. I believe in honesty, treating everyone with dignity and respect, and having an open mind. My goal is to create a nonjudgmental, empathetic atmosphere where individuals feel safe to share their thoughts and feelings.
My approach combines active listening, strength-based, solution-focused, and cognitive behavioral theory. I will tailor our work together to meet your specific needs. I believe in providing the tools you need to live a more fulfilling life.
Whatever your struggles may be, you are not alone. I am here for you. It takes courage and strength to reach out for help. By reaching out for support, you have already taken the first step towards improving your life and achieving your goals.
I look forward to working with you!

Cynthia has single handedly changed my aversion to therapy. She’s compassionate, organised and knowledgeable.
I highly recommend Cynthia for anyone looking to build a strong relationship with their therapist and be guided with experience and empathy. Cynthia asks great questions and always knows when to offer new information. Any who works with Cynthia is lucky to have her dedicated, knowledgeable and caring help in their lives.
Cynthia is wonderful! I had trauma from being bullied from my boss for years and she validated how I felt and pointed out to me signs where it WAS abuse (which no one told me before as I was going through it). She helped me break down my thoughts and feelings and then slowly change them for the better. Really understanding, kind, and caring. I did BetterHelp just to see what it's like for that first week free trial and I'm in love with it and recommend my friends to it because of Cynthia.
Cynthia and I just started working together and so far she’s helped me a lot. We built rapport really quickly and I feel like she understands what my needs are and she’s worked really hard to give me the resources I need to get me through the rough patch I’m in. I really appreciate her hard work and I strongly recommend her to anyone looking for an engaged counselor/therapist.
Cynthia is great. She listens and gives good feedback. I have had a great experience so far and look forward to sessions with her.
Very good and supportive
I feel she listens very well. I’m happy with her and feel she will be able to help. I also appreciate the multiple ways I can contact her she always responds within the time she told me to expect.
Cynthia has been amazing in listening and offering great tools to assist me in handling my mental health! She has helped me immensely in understanding how to help myself and open up about what I have had going on in my life for quite some time! I couldn’t be happier with how she has helped me in these last few weeks and I have definitely seen a change in myself.
I like the way she teaches me and how she gives me skills in a nice way- she explains well. She is an excellent teacher.
