About me

Welcome! Something in your life has initiated this search for support and I am glad you are here. It takes a lot of courage step outside one's comfort zone to seek help when struggling. Getting the help, does not make you “weak” or “crazy”. Instead, therapy makes personal growth, healing, and positive change possible. I applaud you. It takes strength to say enough is enough and to work for the life you want. I want to help you get there. Here is a little about me and how I plan to support you:

I have a doctorate degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University in Prescott, AZ and master’s degree in Counseling from Western New Mexico University as well as lots of certification and training in various modalities, care coordination, attachment based parenting, integrated health and telehealth which I guess tells you that I am always interested in learning and growing myself. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor for international subscribers, in the state of New Mexico and am in the process of expanding into Texas as well.
I use a trauma-informed client-centered approach to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment to work through any issue. Interventions are drawn from various modalities to best fit you individually but I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Theory, Internal Family Systems, Brief Solution Focused Therapy, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis among others. While it is a benefit to have access to multiple tools for our journey together, it is also important for us to build trust with each other. For that reason, one of the most important things I can tell you about me is that you can tell me anything and I do not judge. We are the way we are for so many reasons and we all have the right to grow and make changes for the better. I have worked with individuals of all ages, all gender orientations, all backgrounds, ethnicities and religions.
A minimalist by nature, I live in a mobile tiny home with my partner/husband of 20+ years and a dog named Winner. Having helped individuals find happiness in relationships with themselves and others for over a decade, I know that together we can find YOUR way to self-confidence and joy of life.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Cynthia Manning. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. Manning is really patient, calm, kind and supportive. I've moved between several councillors on this platform and until working with her, i've found it hard to feel like anyone cared or understood my challenges. She works in a really professional yet friendly approach.
