About me

I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed in North Carolina with over three years of experience. I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Health Counseling from Webster University, accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) standards. The National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC) has certified me as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I'm pursuing my Ph.D. in Clinical Counseling and Psychological Studies at Regent University.

My counseling style is warm and engaging. I treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I have worked with clients dealing with various concerns, including depression, anxiety, anger management, self-harm, relationship issues, parenting problems, and effective communication.

For therapy to be successful, I believe it's essential for the therapist and client to establish and maintain an effective therapy relationship. I utilize a person-centered approach, maintaining a nonjudgmental mindset with unconditional positive regard for you and your growth throughout the therapeutic process. I use an integrated approach to treatment; using more than one approach can help deal with specific situations. These modalities may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness-Based Therapy.

Therapy is one of an individual's most challenging and rewarding experiences. I respect the process and the courage it takes to engage in this experience. I will strive to provide a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings around important issues.

I look forward to working with you!!

I have been very pleased with my 2 sessions so far. I like that she can relate to what I’m going through. She is very easy to talk to about my feelings and what I’m experiencing. When it’s hard for me to say what I’m going through she helps me word it in a way I never thought I could.
