About me

I am a licensed professional counselor and have been practicing since graduating from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014. I specialize in working with the LGBTQI+ community, and other underserved populations. I have worked in multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, and private practice. I have a unique knowledge which I acquired from personal experience.

I work from a Narrative theoretical lens, which means I believe that the stories we tell are key to working through the identified issues a client brings. This theoretical lens also allows me to bring in other evidence-based practice approaches such as person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed techniques. My lens and approach allow me to offer both an effective and warm approach to my clients. It allows me to both listen empathetically and also gently challenge when I hear areas of potential growth or change. At the end of the day, I view my clients as the authors of their stories--it begins and ends with what you bring to the session, and I am merely a guide here to assist you.

I provide weekly sessions, and daily availability for check ins. Scheduling must go through me due to my limited spaces.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Daniel Lechleiter. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I have enjoyed working with Daniel from the first session. He is non-judgmental and offers a variety of ways to participate in self discovery. I always feel comfortable talking to him and he appropriately assigns worksheets and exercises to noodle over between sessions, which is very helpful for me. I highly recommend him.
