About me

Hello
My name is Daniel McCance, I am an ordained pastor in Georgia. I have been providing counseling for families and couples since 1988. I hold a Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1991). I retired from the pastorate in 2004 due to a crippling spinal disease that caused paralysis and bilateral leg amputation. I continued with ministerial counseling and returned to the classroom to get a Master of Science in Professional Counseling (2016). I was licensed as a professional counselor in Georgia in 2020 . I have expertise in Family and Marriage issues and have written a workbook based on scriptural principles and precepts to help couples with family relationship problems. I also have certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
I use couple assessments to determine the best approach for dealing with the relationship challenges. I am certified for using PREPARE/ENRICH materials. I also am knowledgeable in the use of Gottman Institute assessments, Harley's Emotional Needs assessment, Chapman's Love Language assessment, and Ingram's Love, Sex, and Lasting Relationships materials.
I also have extensive experience in Grief Counseling, Depression, Anxiety, Geriatric and Aging, Stage of Life Transition, and Career Counseling.
I look forward to working with you. May God bless your efforts in seeking wholeness and peace of mind.
