About Me
There are situations in life when you may feel it's too difficult to face it on your own. Sometimes family and friends are unable to give you the guidance and support that you need to resolve or manage your problem. It's in these times that therapy can help. With over 14 years of experience in the counseling field I have successfully treated many different people who were experiencing a wide-range of issues including, but not limited to: grief and loss, trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction and couples who are dealing with infidelity or communication problems. My work experience includes assessments, out-patient community mental health treatment, in-patient mental health, drug and alcohol treatment, couples counseling, group therapy, and private practice.
Using a non-judgmental approach and creating a safe environment , I can guide you in processing your thoughts and feelings in regards to the situation that you are confronting. My therapeutic approach is to help you identify the root cause of your problem and help you to gain insight into yourself by learning and utilizing positive coping skills. I find that a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy along with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy work well together for clients to reach their therapeutic goals.
I enjoy my work at my private practice because I get to see progress and watch clients transform into the person or couple that they want to be. I admire the strength and courage that it takes to reach out and engage in therapy. That admiration inspires me to work with each client at their own pace until they are satisfied with their progress. I am ultimately committed to help each client make a difference in his or her life. I look forward to working with you!

You would be normal to think - "What? Warmth and compassion by text or video?" I want to tell you most firmly: YES. I am a health professional myself and can definitely say that compared to many counselors I have seen working on our teams, she is extremely professional and tuned in to the needs of the patient ( me this time!) .
I love Danielle, even though I have only been working with her a short period of time. For the time I have been she is so helpful and I feel a lot better that I have someone, listening to me and helping me through my problems.
Danielle is amazing. She responds quickly and after one session of talking she had made me feel so much better. She sends little worksheets to make you really think and it makes you think how lucky you truly are in life. I feel so much after only a few weeks.
She is great at helping with any situation and she tests my abilities by helping me grow and see what I do wrong.
Danielle is an amazing counselor and understands what’s going on and seems to always have the right words to make it seem like everything will be okay.
Danielle Bitner is the very best Counselor I’ve experienced in all the years I have been in counseling. I love her calm nature, he ability to take my concerns and make them area with actionable steps to work on. For example, she gave me homework to do something for “me”. Something I’ve been putting off. I did! I picked my guitar back up, and I’m going for my first run in over a year, with my old running partner ! I feeling more wanting to actually do the things I say I want to do again, instead of saying it and then getting back into my hibernation.
Thank you Danielle!
Danielle understands and she cares. When I didn’t reply, she keeps asking me if I’m okay and I’m much better.
Danielle is an attentive and knowledgeable counselor. I am trying to find my way around this new form of therapy and she helped me trust the system’s value. I have been unable to participate with any consistency and she has been patient but aware of my gaps in communicating and has always thrown out a kind check in when she hasn’t heard from me.
