About Me

My goal in therapy is to create a nonjudgmental space in which we can work together as a team to explore your strengths and find a path to healing. My clients most often describe me as genuine and warm, which I believe is essential to creating trusting relationships. I am a Licensed Counselor from Chicago with 6 years of clinical experience. I've had the opportunity to work with a diverse group of clients coping with a wide-range of issues, including (but not limited to) chronic, persistent mental illness, depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual assault, addiction, adjustment issues, and relationship difficulties. I've spent the last two and a half years living and volunteering abroad in Guatemala and have just recently moved back to the United States.

I take an eclectic approach to treatment, varying my therapeutic techniques based on your preferences and personality. Taking a "one-size-fits-all" view to therapy can end with people feeling unheard and unsatisfied. I'm here to collaborate and provide guidance as we find the best ways for you to make positive changes in your life. In our work together, I may incorporate aspects of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, existential, solution-focused, person-centered, strengths-based, emotionally-focused, and mindfulness-based techniques in order to help you reach your goals. I believe that we all have the power within ourselves to tackle life's challenges and I will be a support as you discover and develop that inner strength.

You can count on me to be very flexible in our work together. Sometimes we're looking for direction and guidance and other times we just need someone to listen and understand what we're going through. That might change from day to day, so I will be here to meet you where you're at and offer you the kind of support that you need in the moment. I look forward to meeting you and starting our work together!

Danielle is amazing. She has been there walking me through each step and helping me focus on me.

For the time that I had with Danielle, she was extremely helpful. You can tell that she took her time to read every word of what I sent to her and she responded to every question that I may have put into a single message. Whether it was one question or twenty questions. She offered many different ways of communication such as messaging and live sessions. I will return next month when I have the funds and will request Danielle again if possible.
