About Me

I currently a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Florida, and Oregon. I have over 10 years experience working with individuals, families, and groups with diverse treatment goals. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, Rational-Emotive, Humanistic, and Client Centered Therapy. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, behavior modification, parenting problems, military lifestyle, and adjustments.
I believe and strive to provide a safe, nurturing, empathetic, and positive atmosphere and conversations. In therapy I focus on the client's strengths, building up coping skills, and self esteem. I also believe in allowing the client to choose their focus of every session, and which goals they choose to work on. It takes courage to reach out for help, and I want you to have a positive experience, and feel that you have accomplished something. My goal is to improve people's emotional and cognitive functioning.
A little about me is that I am married and have young children. My husband is retired from the Navy. I have personal experience with the stress and difficulty raising children, and military moves and deployments. I try to take time to myself and participate in my hobbies in order to recharge myself. I also encourage my clients to do the same.
I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

I am extremely grateful for my counselor and her insight. She takes time to hear me out and offers guidance for me to help find my own way. The process here is new to me and so far, I am loving it. My counselor is prompt to respond and I feel I have a safety net as I journey on my life challenge.
