About me

Hi , My name is Danna and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Florida and Washington . I have 9 years experience working in the mental health field. I started counseling, while in the Navy in substance abuse screening and treatment. I enjoyed supporting others through their healing journeys so much that I pursued a counseling career. I have worked in a variety of settings to include in-patient dual diagnosis substance abuse, community mental health, home based family counseling and outpatient clinical counseling. I have the most experience working with post traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression and attachment issues.

I am a believer in whole health integrating a person-centered, approach to connect clients to the internal and external resources. I have been trained in EMDR, psychodynamic therapy to include child parent psychotherapy, infant mental health, infant massage, assessment and advanced trauma therapy. I am a nationally certified counselor and internationally certified clinical trauma counselor. Additionally, I have completed hundreds of hours of continuing education on trauma, anxiety, and play therapy.

My style is collaborative and client centered. You are the expert on you! I am happy to work at your pace, however, I will help you set realistic expectations for the amount of time and energy you are able to devote to your goals.

Thank you for getting to know me. Hope to hear from you soon.

Danna is a great and attentive listener and very skilled at drawing out key words in what you are sharing, then offering specific advice and strategies based on great follow up questions
She helped me step back out of my own noise and see the way forward with perspective resetting. Very grateful!

Dana helped me yo process and navigate my boundaries during what has been a traumatic and abusive divorce process. It took me a long time to realize and recognize how unhealthy things were in my 10yr relationship. Dana helped me to navigate and identify reoccurring patterns of accepting and tolerating abuse so that these patterns will not reproduce themselves in the future.

I had never been to a therapist before in my life, my family members had been to a variety of them and had mixed experiences.

It takes a lot to reach out to someone over the internet, both to feel comfortable sharing and for them to communicate back in a positive and constructive way.

Dana was extremely caring and understanding while always pushing me up and towards the few pieces of structured thinking that I may have been missing to address various issues.

I have already recommended this site to several people based on the amazing work Dana did to help me grow as a person and the stability that that has provided throughout all aspects of my life at this point.

This platform has real value and merit behind it and that comes from the great people who put their time in to help others Dana being a shining example of that effort.

Thank you Dana.
