About Me
Welcome! My name is Darci and I have approximately ten years of experience working in the field of addiction and nine years in the mental health field. I became a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor in 2010 and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in 2015. I am currently working towards a Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology at Augsburg University.
I have experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, sexually deviant behaviors, and a wide variety of other mental health concerns. More recently, I have worked with women with co-occurring disorders in a residential treatment setting and with men, women, and children in a community outpatient setting.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is of extreme importance in the therapy process. Therefore, I strive to be compassionate, understanding, and person-centered in my approach. Using evidenced-based approaches, I incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person-Centered Therapy, and Animal Assisted Interventions.
Outside of my role as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with friends, family, my husband and two small dogs (Brodie and Marvel).
I look forward to working with you in addressing your individuals needs, in finding a more balanced, meaningful life.
