About Me

I am dually certified as a mental health (LPC) and substance abuse counselor (SAC) and have been working in the field for six years. I began working in inpatient treatment working with addiction and mental health with adults over the age of 18. I am currently working in a methadone clinic with individuals suffering from opiate addictions and even though we do not specialize in addiction I am given those who have been diagnosed with mental health issues as well. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including bipolar, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorder, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, and ADHD. I have also helped those who have experienced physical trauma and emotional abuse.
My therapy style is warm and interactive, I believe in treating everyone with utmost respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach to treatment combines mindfulness, motivational interviewing, CBT, DBT, person centered, and solution focused therapies. I will tailor your treatment plan to meet your specific and unique needs.
I look forward to working with you!

My first experience and impression with Darlene has been excellent! Her past experiences and knowledge are what she brings and helps me and my other's. She has patience, guidance, and wisdom. I think that is why I can connect with her. I definitely recommend her for anyone going through many things because she can help with any topic.
