Hello! I’m David Allison. It has been my privilege to be in the counseling field for over 33 years. Over that amount of time, I have been able to work with a number of individuals in a variety of settings. I am a graduate of Texas Tech University and have a Master of Education degree as well as being a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-S) and Supervisor for Intern Counselors. My personal and professional belief is that counseling helps individuals and families find more productive and effective ways to deal with life situations and problems. This often means that a client must make changes in the ways they think, act, and feel about situations in their life. My therapeutic approach is Cognitive-Behavioral as well as Trauma Focused. I prefer to work with clients ages ten through adulthood and am comfortable in addressing the following issues: depression, stress/anxiety, parent/child/family concerns, school and behavioral problems, LGBTQ issues, emotional and physical abuse, as well as substance abuse recovery.
Your counseling is for you. You should expect to be treated with dignity in a professional manner. When you invest yourself in the counseling process, you can experience the satisfaction of working successfully at some of the most important issues in your life.
Professional counselors function in the capacity of helping you make changes in the directions of your goals and help you identify options and probable outcomes. As your counselor, I can be a member of your team and help you work in addressing problems in your daily life.
Counseling, therefore, can be both rewarding and challenging for those involved. I look forward to working with you!

David has been amazing at filtering through my words and tapping into the issues keeping me from being the best version of myself.
David is great, he’s knowledgeable and very compassionate. I like taking to him because he relates to me and my issues and always offers great advice.
Amazing wonderful kind human being, who listens to me ans doesn’t judge at all
So far David and I have become fast friends, the connection we both felt on our first meeting was palpable and I felt comforted in the fact that here was someone who I could talk to like a friend and be confident that I wouldn't feel like I was being put under a microscope with. I would recommend him to anyone who felt as if traditional counseling was always a bit weird and uncomfortable because it isn't so with David.
Just so great and such a comfortable session even w my shitshow of problems over the last few months.
W any counseling, it’s imperative to be comfortable and I was instantly.
Very professional and with humaneness ~ not a feeling once of a session that was clinical/detached.
Absolutely great guy, super open and engaging. Really puts a lot of emphasis on his clients which is super awesome, and I feel like he really listens. Highly recommend to whoever that wants him, especially if you’re dealing with any sort of depressive or anxious episodes.
