I enjoy providing individual therapy for over 10 years now. I received my MSW from University of New England and my BA from Dickinson College. I work with all types of people across the spectrum of life's challenges. I really like people providing help to guide one's self through whatever is facing them.
My experience includes but is not limited to:
- Providing assessment for psychiatry and individual therapy.
- Substance abuse treatment
- Helping those with chronic illness
- Traveling educating other health professionals about Lyme disease and medical cannabis.
I often help people with generalized anxiety, depression, insomnia, family/relational problems. I specialize helping clients with chronic illness, in particular Lyme and other tick borne diseases as these have complicated mental health presentations at times and present a unique set of life challenges and difficulties navigating the health systems, much like other chronic diseases.
I also have extensive experience with addiction.
I enjoy using CBT work and interacting with clients in a variety of ways that online therapy offers.
I generally practice with the guidelines of ACT and use CBT specific exercises often.

David is very helpful and listens to my problems. He gives non biased feedback and good advise. Would highly recommend!
David is a practical, direct, helpful counselor who gives me recommendations for resources and/or activities every time I see him. In the short few weeks I’ve met with him, he has enlightened me to more about myself than counselors I have seen for years. I feel progress. Thank you David!
David has a wonderul way of keeping me on track and bringing me back to all the topics I don't necessarily want to open up about. He gives personal examples of his life experiences to help me relate to him and the issues at hand, without getting to personal. He lets me be me! He doesn't try to 'fix' me! He listens, relates, gives examples and helps me works through my thought process. I have recommended him to many people along with betterhelp!
David is amazing and respectful
Dave is really easygoing and likeable. He listens intently and I really feel like he is truly hearing my thoughts and concerns and helping me to come up with progressive ways to better myself. He asks the right questions and he doesn't 'beat around the bush'. Working with a counselor like him has been a very refreshing experience so far.
Mr. Aronson was attentive, knowledgeable and punctual. I couldn't ask for more.
