David has been great. Very tuned in during our sessions and helping me to work on reconnecting with my feelings. He is also consistent about reaching out between session to check in. Even tho I am not a texting person I still appreciate knowing he is there and checking in.
David has been amazing!! I can't say enough great things about him and how much he has helped me these few months in my sessions. I needed help to cope with the pandemic and to try and overcome my anxiety for how much of my life has changed. Covid just made me feel more isolated and depressed but he helped me find ways to keep my outlook positive and find ways to keep myself busy, active and feeling good about myself. Talking to David doesnt even feel like your talking to a counselor but a friend and I like how down to earth he is and how comfortable he makes you feel talking about things and feelings that may be difficult to talk about or express to others. I would highly recommend him to anyone going through the same things I went through.
Speaking with David was my first time as an adult speaking with a professional for my mental health. I was a bit nervous about it, but 1 minute in after our introduction I felt comfortable and he made me feel like I could express myself with no judgement at all. He is relatable, even though we were only talking about me. He checks in regularly between calls and is very attentive. I handpicked him specifically and am very glad I did. I highly recommend him.
I feel like David really understands and takes the time to listen and he responds in the most professional and thought provoking ways, always with grace and care.
David is awesome. He connects with me by meeting me where I'm at. I feel comfortable sharing with him and being myself. He reaches out to me consistently, more than I reach out to him. He is everything I could ask for in a counselor and more. I appreciate his kindness, ability to explain things to me in ways I can understand, and his concern about my progress. Highly recommend working with David!
What I enjoy the most is his boldness and straightforwardness. He doesn’t beat around the bush and doesn’t say what you WANT to hear, but what you NEED to hear.
He's very professional, always respectful and responsive for any problems and concerns I present. He always listens, and is able to offer insight and sympathy.
Very friendly. He makes things easy to understand and doesnt make me feel like I'm dumb if I dont follow along.
David is the one I turn to when things at work seem really tense or anxious. David is kind and helpful and I appreciate his presence.
David is a very compassionate and knowledgeable therapist. I feel heard and understood. He is helping me feel more confident in my ability to heal from my past.
David is attentive, timely and considerate of my current state and always provides meaningful tips and advice!
So far, I strongly appreciate the open mindedness and the support to pursue my overall happiness. I send lengthy messages and I don’t feel that he skips over anything. He’s very thorough and I strongly look forward to seeing how he can further help my state of being. Thank you kindly, sir.
David as been been great as a counselor. He’s been patient and willing to listen to my problems. He’s very understanding of everything. I’ve been able to connect with him on a personal level which I haven’t been able to do with a counselor in the past. I think David Cogdell is a great counselor and would recommend him to anyone.
