I am dual licensed as both a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and mental health counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida. I use a client centered approach to counseling, bringing in other theoretical approaches (i.e., CBT, DBT, Narrative) as necessary for an individual's concerns. I believe strongly in a powerful client/therapist alliance with unconditional positive regard for my clients. My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. I have worked with individuals from 4 to 85 across numerous mental health issues. I have been doing grief, loss and trauma counseling for more than 20 years, as well as significant experience with PTSD in both military and private individuals. I will will ensure that our dialog and treatment planning is done to to meet your unique and specific needs. I believe that no one should ever have to suffer alone.
